Oakley sunglasses with their unique lens technology and frame design were a hit this year at Countryfile Live held at the beautiful venue of Blenheim Palace. With live arena shows, hands on activities, animal displays, debates, food, drink and shopping the show brought together everything visitors cherish about our countryside, from wildlife and farming, to outdoor pursuits and food, for everyone to enjoy. Oakley, the world’s leading sportswear brand, was an obvious choice for all sporting and outdoor activities.
Set in 100 acres of Blenheim Palace’s beautiful parkland, Countryfile Live was an exhibition of the best of the British countryside over four glorious days.
Visitors could watch live arena shows, talks and displays of animals or livestock and farming in action. They could try their hand at a thrilling mix of outdoor activities and sports. Browse and buy from hundreds of exhibitors of fine quality products, including food, drink, artisan design and craft, country clothing, homeware, gardening and pet supplies.
The much-loved Countryfile presenters took to the stage in the new ‘Countryfile Theatre’. At regular intervals throughout each day, they shared their stories of life on set. Which places were closest to their hearts? Who were the characters (two legs or four) that have left a lasting impression? What was the most remarkable story they’ve ever heard? The most hair-raising challenge? The funniest moment? And what was it like to be on screen – and on location – week in, week out, come rain or shine?
And at around about tea time, they were put on the spot in the ‘Who’s a Countryfile Whizz’ Quiz.
We had a fantastic show with Oakley sunglasses selling well, and customers being impressed with Oakley’s high levels of clarity and performance with uncompromised levels of safety and impact resistance. The Oakley HD polarised lens proved popular with fishermen, birdwatchers and all wanting a superior clarity of vision.
We are looking forward to our next event, the BBC Radio 2 Carfest South hosted by Chris Evans on the Bank holiday weekend 25-28 August……..let the sun shine!!
